Branson, Missouri

On our way to Branson, Bill ran into some friends from his work at TRF.

Once in Branson, we found a favorite restaurant -- great ice cream!

And great BBQ at Gilley's Café.
Got to see a few shows, Amazing Pets (trained cats, dogs, parrots) and Comedy Jamboree, with special appearance by duck Dynasty boys.

Also saw The Legends show, with Justin Timberlake, Tina Turner, as wells as Blues Brothers and Elvis.

Got a little golf in, and shopping at the Landing with dancing fountains.

The College of the Ozarks boasts no debt to students -- they are required to work while attending school and tuition is covered.  The have a terrific museum ("the Smithsonian of the Ozarks").

Our first week of the journey was spent in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Because of all the storms, the water right now is not the emerald green as it should be. But the view from our resort is still beautiful

Destin is no longer the quaint fishing village that we remembered.  Condos and strip malls have sprung up everywhere.  Harborwalk village was a one of them, built around the old magnolia tree.

We did get in a round of golf.  The pictured holes kicked my butt!

Found a great spot - good food, feet in the sand and Buffet-type singer.
